ANELTEC BUTYL SEALANT
ANELTEC butyl rubber sealant is a plastic seal designed to seal the joint of concrete pipes and manholes, which is used where the joint geometry does not allow an optimal seal with a normal extruded EPDM profile. Thanks to the exceptional adhesive capabilities of the product, our butyl rubber sealant can be easily adapted to even the most complex geometries, allowing an excellent seal. The profile meets the current ASTM C-990 Standards.
FEATURES
- It adapts both to very high temperatures and very low temperatures.
- It has a good chemical and mechanical adhesion to the surfaces.
- Joints made with our butyl rubber sealant are free from size changes, hardening and oxidation during aging.
Each pack of butyl rubber sealant has a total size of 22 meters. Our butyl rubber sealant is normally applied without the use of the primer, except in particularly difficult cases. For correct assembly of the butyl rubber sealant, the interlocking surfaces must be clean and dry. The profile must be positioned without pretension, in order to avoid variations of the original shapes and geometries of the product. The seal works optimally with a compression between 30% and 50%.
